Introduction: Our architectural intervention
at the heart of Sydney's bustling retail
precinct aimed to breathe new life into a
1970s concrete building housing luxury
retail establishments. The client's vision for
a modern and distinguished appearance,
coupled with increased visibility for their highend offerings, fuelled our design process.
Inspired by the intricate craftsmanship of
luxury watch straps, our team conceptualized
and executed a transformation that not only
met but exceeded the client's expectations.
Design Concept: The design concept draws
inspiration from the world of haute horlogerie,
specifically focusing on the elegance and
precision embodied in luxury watch straps.
Mimicking the meticulous attention to detail
found in these timeless accessories, our
architectural approach sought to redefine the
building's aesthetic and elevate its presence
in the competitive retail landscape.
Facade Transformation: The exterior
facelift involved a strategic reimagining of
the building's façade. Incorporating sleek
lines, metallic finishes, and subtle textures
reminiscent of high-quality watch bands,
we achieved a harmonious blend of modern
sophistication and timeless luxury. The once
unremarkable concrete exterior now stands
as a symbol of refined elegance, capturing
the attention of passersby and inviting them
into the world of exclusive retail within.
