Pemulwuy Project Redfern
The Pemulwuy Project is the redevelopment of
the land known as “the Block” in Redfern, owned
by the Aboriginal Housing Company Ltd.
The first stage of the project which includes
affordable housing for the Aboriginal community
is nearing completion.
The project also includes the Tony Mundine
Boxing Gym, an art gallery, childcare facilities
and some retail and commercial facilities.
The Pemulwuy Project and Tony Mundine Boxing Gym were recently awarded the 2022 Urban Developer Award
for Social Infrastructure, the UDIA Presidents Award & Excellence in Urban Renewal
